Camino de Santiago
El Camino de Santiago, la ruta de perenigración más importante de la Europa Medieval, es un recorrido realizado por los peregrinos para venerar el sepulcro del apóstol Santiago en Compostela o Santiago el Mayor, un lugar de gran intercambio cultural gracias a los visitantes de diversos lugares que lo recorren cada año.
The Way of St. James, the most important route of perenigration in Medieval Europe, is a route taken by pilgrims to venerate the tomb of the apostle St. James in Compostela or Santiago el Mayor, a place of great cultural exchange thanks to the visitors from different places who walk it every year.
Doing the Way of St. James is not a uniquely religious activity or experience, each person gives it the approach they want, some treat it as a sport, either cycling or walking, others as an ideal opportunity to meet people from different places and learn about traditions and cultures and others as a goal to achieve.
Day 1. Sarria. Arrival at your own expense in Sarria and accommodation at the indicated establishment.
Day 2. Portomarín. Departure to Portomarín on your own for the first stage of the route (22 km approx.). Lodging at the indicated establishment (if transfer from the end of the stage is needed, it would be included).
Day 3. Palas de Rey. Breakfast. Departure to Palas de Rey (if there was a transfer the day before, you will be taken to the departure point) on your own for the second stage of the route (24 km approx.). Lodging at the indicated establishment (if a transfer from the end of the stage is needed, it will be included).
Day 4. Arzúa. Breakfast. Departure to Arzúa (if there had been a transfer the day before, you will be taken to the departure point) on your own for the third stage of the Arzúa route (30 km approx.). Lodging at the indicated establishment (if a transfer from the end of the stage is needed, it will be included).
Day 5. O Pino / Pedrouzo. Breakfast. Departure to Pedrouzo (if there was a transfer the day before, you will be taken to the departure point) on your own for the fourth stage of the route (19 km approx.). Lodging at the indicated establishment (if a transfer from the end of the stage is needed, it will be included).
Day 6. Santiago de Compostela. Breakfast. Departure to Santiago (if there had been a transfer the day before, you will be taken to the departure point) on your own for the last stage of the route (22 km approx.) Tapas in Santiago (from 14 to 16 h) and guided tour at 18 h (to reconfirm time upon receipt of documentation). Overnight at the indicated establishment.
Day 7. Santiago de Compostela. Breakfast.
