Day 1 - Home City - Barcelona
Departure from the home city to Barcelona. Arrival at the airport and pick up the rental car. Your first stop will be Barcelona, the "Ciudad Condal," a vibrant city rich in history, culture, avant-garde, and entertainment. Take a leisurely walk through its Gothic Quarter, the city's medieval neighborhood, filled with cozy squares dotted with terraces, impressive churches, enticing shops, and businesses that blend tradition and innovation.
Visit the grand architectural works of Antoni Gaudí, such as the Sagrada Familia or Casa Batlló. Stroll along the elegant and lively boulevards, and end the day by relaxing on the seafront with its endless sea views or in Parc de la Ciutadella, one of the favorite spots for locals to enjoy good weather. Day 2 - Barcelona - Castelldefels - Garraf Natural Park - Sitges - Vilanova i la Geltrú
We leave the "Ciudad Condal" on our way to Castelldefels, located about half an hour away, which offers an attractive range of leisure activities, magnificent infrastructures, and pleasant beachfront restaurants and terraces. The more active ones can head to the Canal Olímpic de Catalunya, built for the 1992 Olympic Games. We continue our journey south to explore the interesting routes and activities offered by the splendid Garraf Natural Park, such as botanical walks in La Pleta or guided visits by monks to the Buddhist monastery in the incredible Novella Palace.
We continue today's journey in Sitges, located at the feet of the beautiful Mediterranean coast, which boasts postcard-perfect beaches such as Ribera, Santa Margarida, El Home Mort, or Sant Sebastià. Additionally, you can visit century-old wineries - Penedès is one of Catalonia's most prominent wine-producing regions, known for its production of cava sparkling wine. You can also participate in thematic routes such as "The Route of the Americans" or "The Route of Souls," or take a peaceful stroll through its beautiful old town, a former refuge for modernist artists. Day 3 - Vilanova i la Geltrú - Foix Reservoir - Calafell - El Vendrell/Coma-ruga
Today you will visit Vilanova i la Geltrú, a town famous for its beaches, medieval quarter, and the Railway Museum, which houses one of the most complete collections of locomotives in Europe. We head towards the Costa Daurada, making a stop first at the Foix Reservoir, where you can visit a fairytale castle, and then continue to Calafell, a wonderful seaside town with a wide range of entertainment options for the little ones.
Famous for its 5 kilometers of iodine-rich beaches, it also possesses an important historical legacy as a result of the traces left by the Iberians in its Citadel. The route continues in El Vendrell, where you can follow in the footsteps of cellist Pau Casals and participate in one of the many activities revolving around music. Its beaches have calm waters and gentle slopes, ideal for families with children, and for the more adventurous, snorkeling excursions are organized in the magnificent Masía Blanca marine reserve. Day 4 - El Vendrell/Coma-ruga - Ferreres Aqueduct - Ecopark - Tarragona - La Pineda Platja
Today we have magnificent beaches, interesting cultural visits, and even a fun water park in store. We head to the city of Tarragona, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and dotted with treasures and secrets. On the way, you will be able to see the famous Ferreres Aqueduct, known as the Devil's Bridge, which will transport you to the glorious times of the Roman Empire. In close proximity to it is the Ecopark, offering various activities for the little ones.
In the city, you will stroll through the imperial "Tarraco," where its ruins and stones speak to the traveler of the importance of this city in Roman times. Statues of Caesar Augustus, the grand Roman theater, and the remains of the ancient Roman forum in the lively Pallol Square are just some of the treasures that await you! Other interesting monuments include the Cathedral or the Convent of the Teresianas, as well as the spectacular views from the ancient walls or the Balcón del Mediterráneo. We continue the route towards Vila-seca and its seaside district, La Pineda Platja. There, you can have lunch by the sea on a terrace or visit Aquopolis, the largest water park in Catalonia, where you can interact with dolphins (admission not included). Day 5 - La Pineda - Prades Mountains - L'Espluga de Francolí - Poblet Monastery - Prades - Salou
Today, you will combine beautiful beaches with incredible inland landscapes, dotted with picturesque rural scenes, medieval towns, and prehistoric villages that speak to the traveler of an important past. We leave the Mediterranean behind to immerse ourselves in the rural soul of the region. The Prades Mountains, located an hour away, are a fantastic starting point. There, you can go on interesting excursions and engage in outdoor activities, such as visiting the town of Prades, known as "the Red Village," or the hermitage of l'Abellera, perched on a cliff overlooking the valley.
Next, you will find the ancient village of L'Espluga de Francolí, where you can visit the astonishing Cova de la Font Major, one of the seven longest caves in the world, and embark on an "Adventure Route" through its depths, wearing a wetsuit and carrying a helmet and flashlight. (Admission not included. It is recommended to purchase tickets online 24 hours in advance. Free public parking is available near the facilities, as well as a children's play area and picnic area. Inside the cave, temperatures are stable throughout the year and usually range between 14°C and 17°C). The next stop is the Poblet Monastery, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the grand monastic buildings of the Old Continent and the burial place of many monarchs of the Crown of Aragon. We end the day in the coastal town of Salou, which boasts 14 kilometers of transparent beaches and coves, a magnificent promenade, and a lively range of leisure and entertainment options. Day 6 - Salou - PortAventura World - Salou
Today we continue to enjoy Salou before heading to the incredible complex of PortAventura World, one of the most important leisure centers in Europe, just a 10-minute drive away. Both young and old can have fun in the six themed areas of "PortAventura Park," the amazing water universe of "Caribe Aquatic Park," and the thrilling "Ferrari Land."
Take advantage of the visit to ride the innovative Red Force, a vertical accelerator that reaches 180 km/h in just 5 seconds. (Admission not included). Inside the park, you can enjoy a wide range of dining options. Accommodation in Salou.
Day 7 - Salou - Cambrils - Barcelona
After a day filled with adrenaline, today we will dedicate the day to enjoying tranquility, good weather, and the excellent coastlines of Salou and Cambrils. Cambrils is a charming seaside town whose nautical station offers travelers an interesting range of activities and water sports. From the nautical station in Salou, you can take a ferry or catamaran to Cambrils (Excursion not included) or simply drive comfortably with your rental car. There, you can combine a pleasant beach day with fun activities designed for children, hotel entertainment, interesting excursions, and excellent gastronomy (Cambrils is also known as "the gastronomic capital of the Costa Daurada!").
We recommend taking a bike ride, exploring the colorful underwater world, visiting monuments and neighborhoods comfortably with the tourist train, or taking pleasant panoramic walks along the famous "Camino de Ronda." Just over a kilometer away, you can visit the archaeological site of "El Cavet," where the oldest Neolithic remains on the peninsula are found. In the afternoon, we will return to Barcelona to enjoy its atmosphere and wide gastronomic offer. We recommend taking the AP7 highway to enjoy beautiful views of the Mediterranean.
